West Hills Hospital and
Medical Center
West Hills Hospital & Medical Center has been serving the needs of the West
San Fernando Valley for the past 30 years and looks forward to serving the
community for many years to come. We offer a compassionate commitment to
clinical excellence close to home.
West Hills Hospital & Medical Center has a strong commitment to our
community. This commitment has fueled hospital growth, energized our staff,
satisfied our patients and propelled us to become an outstanding health care
facility.
On the West Hills campus you will find the full continuum of care. Directly
adjacent to our beautiful facility are several medical office buildings with
their own pharmacies. Other buildings on campus house outpatient surgery,
medical imaging services, outpatient rehabilitation/fitness services and
oncology care. We also feature acres of free parking for the convenience of
visitors, patients and staff.
With an eye to the future, the hospital continues to add the latest technology
to our service lines. We have acquired additional catheterization lab equipment
that will allow us to add electro physiology studies. At our Women's Diagnostic
Center we now have the Second Look system, a computer-aided mammography system
that can detect very early signs of breast cancer.
In 2007, West Hills Hospital & Medical Center will open a new
47,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art Emergency Department and Critical Care
Unit. This new facility will serve as a key component of the hospital's ongoing
dedication to saying ahead of community needs and preparing for the future of
medicine.

Regional Medical Center
of San Jose
Located in the heart of California's Silicon Valley, Regional Medical Center of
San Jose serves a thriving and diverse community. Established in 1965, the
204-bed hospital has emerged as a regional leader in health care, serving not
only the local neighborhoods of East San Jose, but also communities in the
adjoining counties. In 2005, Regional broke ground on a $155 million expansion
that will create a new patient tower to accommodate growing patient volume, and
expand emergency/trauma services, operating rooms, critical care and more. The
hospital's core services include emergency/trauma, neurosciences, women's and
children's health, cancer care, medical surgical, and cardiovascular care.
One of the busiest emergency centers in Santa Clara County, Regional treats more
than 70,000 patients each year in its clinic, emergency department and trauma
center. Regional began an advanced neurosciences program in late 2004 offering
complicated neurosurgeries performed by a highly experienced team of
neurosurgeons and staff. The hospital will earn stroke certification in early
2006. Regional's Cancer Care Institute serves a wide population of cancer
patients through its radiation therapy and oncology program. The Institute will
relocate to its new site on the hospital campus in 2007.
Regional established a partnership in 2005 with Stanford University Medical
Center to create the Stanford Cardiothoracic Surgery Program at Regional
Medical Center of San Jose. This unique program brings together university
talent with highly-trained community hospital support team to provide the best
care available for cardiac patients. Cardiovascular surgeons perform off-pump,
or "beating heart" surgery in a new, high-tech CV operating room. In addition,
an array of diagnostic and treatment procedures are performed in the hospital's
sate-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab.
